I started this website as a way to inspire myself to take time to do more photography. Rushing through each day, I started to realize there are so many wonderful sights that I often didn't take the time to enjoy. I figured by posting my photos, it would help remind me to slow down and enjoy the view and would also enable me to improve my skills and hopefully become a better photographer.
I always swore I'd never switch to digital, but I'm so glad I did! By nature, I'm very much into "instant gratification" projects, so going digital has made me very happy. I love being able to take photos and have the ability to view them on the spot, rather than spending hard-earned money getting rolls of film developed, only to find out all the photos suck!

My first self-published book of photos is now available (Click the image below for a preview and more details). If you're not familiar with Blurb.com, I suggest you check them out!
2008
In the Fall of 2008 I had a couple photos published in "Capture Kentuckiana" - a book produced by the Courier-Journal (Louisville's newspaper). Area photographers submitted their photos and favorites were chosen by popular vote and by Courier-Journal editors. I ended up with two photos in the book and three on the DVD (included in the book). More information is available here.

A photo I took for an article by a writer for Americans United for the Separation of Church and State ended up being published on their cover! Thanks Alicia!
